If all your kit is 802.11 ratified (or even better, WiFi approved) then
WEP is WEP is WEP. However, the standard initially did not define how a
'passphrase' got turned into hexadecimal WEP key numbers, so there were
a bunch of different versions, all incompatible, because
"NoMoreSecrets"
on one device would not map to the same hex string as it would on another.
If you have the option of entering hex WEP keys directly, it might be
worth giving it a go.
