Use VirtualDub http://www.virtualdub.org to save off
the audio on it's own
as an MP3,
Get a copy of MP3Gain, http://www.geocities.com/mp3gain/
which will boost
the gain without making it go all crackly, then use Virtualdub to join the
audio back into the AVI.(Use Direct Stream Copy)
If you need more detailed instructions, just ask :D

Sorry for the OT post but you people are very smart with regard to most
things!!
I have 4 AVI files that I need to put onto a DVD presentation. Three of
them work fine but the volume level on the 4th is MUCH lower than the
others. How can I fix this??
