In terms of keypad - thats exactly the sort of thing I had in mind. In fact
looking at the specs those modules might be quite useful. They have the
ability to monitor DS1820 one-wire temp probes which would also be very
useful.

They only ship direct though. $50 + $27 shipping. Anyone know if that would
that be liable to VAT + Import duty at this end ?
