I can't see why it would destroy the standard functionality, other than if
you actually break it during modding. In my experience, it's very unlikely
that one break the X-box during modification.

The only drawback right now is that it's likely that X-Box Live doesn't
work
on a modded X-box running Mediaplayer as dashboard - but that will probably
get solved as well.

One huge (depending on your child's age) benefit of modding the machine is
that games could be played from the hdd instead of letting small people
fumble with the discs with their jam-sticky fingers.

Good timing!

Just persuaded my son to get an xbox for his birthday :-)

Is it advisable to mod it with Xecuter2 Lite and run Mediaplayer as the
dashboard without screwing up the ease of use or standard functionality.


I don't want to spoil his birthday present.
