Re: [OTish] Snom 100 possible bulk buy

Sorry,

i suppose I should explain it a bit more for those who are unaware...

SIP is a new emerging standard for VOIP (Voice Over IP) resulting in free
called to other SIP capable users over the internet. You will REQUIRE some
sort of broadband connection if you want to use SIP over the internet, tho
if you have a local network and only want to 'call' internally (intercom?)
then there should be no such limitation...

So far I've tested with Qwin-Ten (the Shaolin mod-meister) a guy from the
USA and a guy from Sweeden. The quality of the call is excellent, but does
depent on the hardware used. Headset and mic are the cheapest solution but
an ip phone offers the best quality, especially with echo cancellation.
