RE: Yamaha MusicCAST

I've not seen to much more either, but the implication is that you use
wireless clients (Wifi from what I've read), which are packaged local
amp/speaker units, and that either 4 or 8 simultaneous connections are
supported. Regarding the tuner/radio, the hard disk unit may support
internet radio streaming and the clients may include a local tuner but I'm
still waiting for final confirmation from a UK Yamaha rep. Looks
interesting
although expensive compared to both PC based systems and MP3 networked
players but then again it ought to be almost plug and play!

Neil.

Subject: [ukha_d] Yamaha MusicCAST

Does anybody know about the Yamaha MusicCAST hard disk server, due to
be lauched in the UK in May (as featured in this month's What Hi Fi
sound and Vision - not much useful stuff in the article though)?

Can it handle multi rooms?
Does it have a tuner included?
How do the 'clients' work?

Duncan.
