I do this on a much smaller scale for filter coffee maker only..... put
stuff in, press button on mini-timer which switches the X10 plug the
coffee maker is connected to and starts making the coffee. Voice
announcement to say coffee is being made. 10 mins later, a voice and YAC

announcement to say coffee is ready - YAC listener running on Tivo and
laptop. 1 hour 50 later if mini timer has not been used to switch off
coffee machine, voice and YAC to say coffee machine going off in 10
mins, 5 mins later final warning, then announcement that it's been
switched off.

You could do something similar with a bit programming, eg for every
press of X10 address on, add 10 mins, and for every press of address
off, decrease by 1 min, allowing you to quickly bump up the time to 60
mins or something, but also allowing a bit of granularity to decrease to

45 mins etc. Obviously you could also use an HV interface or two instead

of an X10 broadcast to make it a bit more reliable.
