mmm... HV would be best, yes.



Need to think carefully about how to make it easy to set (otherwise it'd
never get used). Maybe I could have that function on one of the LCD wall
displays when they become a reality (re recent threads)?

Paul,

Could you implement the timer function outside the cooker such that an
external device e.g. Homevision etc. does the timing function and plays
the announcement ? Alternatively, find a device that will set an output
on expiration of the timer and interface it to one of the doorbell or
paging inputs on your Kustom unit ?

I use a timer built into the oven - anyone tapped into one before to be
able to play a message over speakers etc.

I guess it's easier to use a portable timer but, hey, this is HA isn't
it?  ;)
