Speaker splitting solution?

Steve's last post prompted me to ask this:

One of my audio zones (run by a Kustom KHS6640 - 20W per side per zone)
is in the master bedroom with ceiling speakers. I've got another
(Sonance stereo summing) ceiling speaker for the master en-suite but
don't have enough zones to control it individually so I want to run it
off the Master bedroom zone.

The amp provides a line out for each zone that is switched along with
the speaker out (6 source inputs). I could use the line out to power a
separate amp or I could run this extra speaker in parallel with the
existing speakers (but need to deal with impedances and separate volume
control etc).

So:

1) Anyone know of an IR controllable amp that is small and doesn't
cost too much (I don't have much room in my node 0 cupboard or rack)

2) A recommendation for some kind of speaker matching volume
control that allows a second pair of speakers to be added to an existing
pair (or is that not wise?)

Thanks,

Paul.
