I've not been doing it for archiving, just to help people who miss it :>

I'm using Tivo extraction using Don's guide on version 5, then instead
of frameserving and MPEG'ing, which I do for DVD or VCD conversions, I'm
using VirtualDub to encode it as a DivX file... if I chop the adverts
out it's around 200MB for the hour long show.... not particularly high
quality, but lets people see it.
