Datasheets on the noritake website http://www.noritake-itron.com
Dont know off hand but from talking to them today I got the impression that
the way they are reducing prices is to have common chipsets for the
displays
so quite possibly it has.

Noritake make some great VFDs. I'm after the GU140X32F-7000 140x32 pixels.
Do you happen to know if this model also has the key scanning capability?
Cheers
Pedro

Hi All,
Just visited the Itron factory about 3 miles from my house.
They have some really cool GRAPHICS VFD's
GU126x32F-K612A4 126 x 32 pixels
GU126x64F-K612A4 126 x 64 pixels
Both boot up as standard TEXT displays but are easily configurable as
Graphics.
Cool Features....
Single 5V Supply
3 ASCII Fonts 5x5, 5x7, 10x14
RS232 Asynchronous Serial Interface
8 User I/O pins with *** KEY SCANNING CAPABILITY ***
One off prices about £51 for the 126x32 and £56 for the 126x64
Available either from the likes of Farnell or direct from Noritake-Itron
More info http://www.noritake-itron.com
Seem ideal for the kind of message displays being developed for xAP and xPL
