My local council (Faringdon, a very small market town - more like
village) have decided that they are going to put together a private
consortium to broadband enable my local exchange (ADSL and SDSL).
Yipeeeee!!!!!! Could be done in a few months - even got a full-time
council project manager on the case.



And I thought all that local councils were good for was providing
employment for 'job's worth's'!
