Hi Des,
I have the xAP gateway running well at the moment although
currently it connects to C-Bus via C-Gate and then either the C-Bus network
interface (Ethernet) or the RS232 interface. To take it to a direct
connection either with the Ethernet interface or the RS232 / SIM module is
the intention as you won't need to purchase/license the C-Gate middleware
component. However it has taken 'forever' to get through all Clipsal's
approval to release the developer information I need. However, 'hot in my
hand' today I have the last of the NDA documents from Australia and shortly
I should have all the info I need then to do this. Let me know when you
have
any installed C-Bus kit and I'll send you something to play with.
The last part of the equation would be to put the gateway in
some embedded processor that connects directly to C-Bus and speaks xAP out
of another port , probably RS232 or Ethernet. Whilst this would be ideal
however I have not yet committed to doing this.
One other question - do you use HomeVision ? What controller
would you be envisaging using ?
Kevin

After seeing the prices of the switches, I've decided to do it a different
way, hurry up with that xAP-cbus connector Kevin ;)
