Hi,

I know this is sort of a FAQ, but then I can't find the
answer...consistent=
ly...

Keene Electronics are selling Mode Lighting "PUMA" dimmable
transformers as=
"X10-compatible", but many answers on the web are that electronic
transfor=
mers won't work with X10 dimmers (specifically LD11s in my case). Has
anyon=
e tried the PUMA jobbies ? With success ? The LD11 instructions say it can
=
dim low voltage and make no mention of transformer type.

No surprises I am sure that the information I have found on the whole
dimma=
ble low voltage halogen situation has been confusing and inconsistent, eg:
=
you can filter the noise from electronic transformers to you can't filter
t=
he noise from electronic transformer.

My electrician really hates wirewound transformers ("they'll bring you
noth=
ing but trouble"), so I was hoping to find an alternative ...

.. do I have to feed him more beer and sneak the wirewounds into his
toolbo=
x ?

Cheers,

David
