It depends on what you want from the router and there are lots of choices.
I would suggest reading up on some hardware reviews on websites such as
www.adslguide.org.uk.
We have both the Alcatel SpeedTouch USB ADSL modem (stingray/frog) and
Draytek Vigor 2600X Ethernet ADSL Router. The 2600X costs three times as
much but it is four times better.

Most feature-rich ADSL routers cost in the region of =A3200 + VAT.

I would recommend A&A for their superior customer service and good ADSL
performance. We have a 2Mb ADSL line with A&A and a 512k ADSL with
BTOpenworld (sorry Ian for mentioning ADSL speeds and calm down Paul for
mentioning BT). I can't even begin to compare the vast differences between
the two companies. A&A is not the cheapest but they are worth the
extra.
