Re: [OT] BB kit

I use the Intertex IX66 EDFLC - it's an ADSL modem, router and firewall. It
supports SIP natively, has a DHCP server built in and can be used with an
internal network and a separate DMZ for external http/ftp or whatever.

It does the job and doesn't go wrong. I'm very happy with mine. They cost
about 200-250 pounds.

BT have finally set a date for ADSL here !!! So I’ll be getting rid
of my
Satellite system and getting a 2Mb connection. I know there’s been a
huge
amount of talk over the last few months about ADSL modems, routers etc but
I
didn’t really follow it and don’t want to read through a few
hundred posts!
The questions I have are:

What’s the best ADSL modem/router/firewall package out there?

I’d like something flexible, powerful and that allows me to possibly
publish
a server or two from behind the firewall. Oh, and I don’t want it to
cost
the earth (anything over £1000 combined cost is definitely out).

I’ll probably go with Eclipse or A&A.

Any ideas?

Paul.
