AFAIR it wasn't just damp, but quite sticky. Appears to be a common
problem with these phones, given that my father has the same phone and
the exact same problem. Just wipe the board carefully with a damp cloth,
and wash the membrane with soapy water. As long as water is kept to a
minimum when cleaning the board, there shouldn't be any problem. But
nothing special is needed to clean it.

That's exactly the problem SWMBO claims we have, (I dunno, I never
answer the
phone meself - talking is so passe - email rules :)), I'll give it a go
thanks.

Did you use anything special to clean it with?
