Looks a bit more sophisticated than turning Nagle's algorithm off. If this
is turned off it just fires smaller packets down then link. This doesn't
vary the packet size. It just decides what is the safest speed it can fire
packets down the pipe without getting packet loss. TCP is slow because if a
packet is lost it has to resend it. FAST TCP avoids the packet
re-transmitions so actually puts more useful data down the pipe.

Sign me up I want it. :-)

mmmm, it's not actually squeezing more data down the pipe, it's just
mitigating the latency, like turning Nagle off ...
