Have you taken it apart?



There are a couple of points where the screen could be failing - have a
look at the connector where the screen ribbon cable connects to the main
PCB - may be worth a go.

I have a similar problem with mine, the screen will go all dark (ever
since it got knocked onto the floor) but a bit of percussive maintenance
usually sorts it out.
