Rocket science to me.
Is nothing I can use which is a bit of point and click ? :-)
I backed the information stores on the source server using Microsoft
backup. Can I use that ?

Those details are all stored in the AD, so if you install another DC in
the
AD, then you will have a replica there... you should probably also make
is a
GC as well....
