It's still not very clear from that whether they have a new spec for the
C-Bus ,on the wire protocol (moving from C-Bus2 to C-Bus3) - I can see that
they need to update their Windows software but I think they mean just a
configuration application update. Ie the configuration application moving
to
V3.

Following discussions with regard to above i've had this reply from Niall.

Hi Dean,

C-Bus 3 refers to the equipment as well as the software. as you know our
software is still only a 16bit application which we are changing to a 32bit
application therefore giving you greater stability on the platforms
currently available. Part of the reason behind this is that within the
next
year or so new operating systems will no longer support the 16bit versions
of a lot of software without plug-ins and we all know the trouble they can
get us into. Transfer rates will therefore become faster at present it
takes a long time to download/upload information from a lot of our new
equipment 32bit talking to 16, it will also allow us the chance to get more
functionality out of the equipment.

I also have a .doc copy of the latest training details - email me and i'll
send it to anyone interested

Dean..
