Occasionally my server shuts itself down, usually the day after I've
gone on holiday, really weird, I think it's to do with the UPS but
that's another story. Had the thought today that I could use the outputs
on my MV1000 to reboot my machine if it stops, I'm thinking as my
MV1000, hub and ADSL modem would still be up, it doesn't matter if the
server PC is down, I could still access it. So, does anyone know what
the output connectors are, are they relay contacts or something else, I
assume to boot my PC they would just have to emulate the power switch,
although this wouldn't be momentary, would this be a problem? Are there
any potential pitfalls in doing this?

Cheers,

Keith Y
