Depends on what you mean by natively.  I did have to modify the LIRC
code (two modules) but the guy responsible for the LIRC code isn't yet
prepared to make it part of the normal distribution - not until FirM
becomes popular of course !!!  Hence need to recompile with the modified
modules.

I have not modified any of the applications that come with LIRC to
support the addition of zone information - only the daemon since I only
use Mr House to connect to the LIRC server (actually they are on the
same machine) via a UDP port.  Make sense?
