ISTR you need to have at least one camera connected. I think it looks for
video feeds as part of the start up/config.

If I am talking rubbish just ignore me ;)

I have just started playing with my MV1000. I connected fine with a null
modem cable and went through the configuration over serial. I
disconnected the serial, rebooted the device and I can now ping it and
connect over ftp. However if I try to browse to it, I get nothing, even
on http://ipaddress/network which
should bring up the admin logon. I
have no cameras connected to the server, is that going to be a problem?
