So did mine, yesterday.

Had a brief play at around midnight, and all seems to work. Also, I was
pleasantly surprised to find I'd got the Samsung DVD drive fitted which is
supposed to be the best as it will play CD-R and DVD-R without
modification. So, I tried a CD-R music disc and sure enough, it plays !!!

If anyone wants to know what drive they've got, open the DVD tray and if
it's got 2 holes either side of the tray, it's a Samsung. Check this link
for identifying if you have a Thomson, Philips or Samsung:-

I'll probably play with it for a week to make sure it's OK, before chipping
it and using it as a media server.
