I've had some trouble with receiption quality with my sky box. I found
that
if I left it unplugged for say ten minutes, on plugging it back in
everything would be ok for say 2 mins, then reception would drop off. I
tried various things, changing cables etc. Eventually I gave up on it and
left it un-plugged for about 5 months. I recently got a replacement LNB,
but on powering my box backup found it was all working fine (I hadn't
swapped the LNB yet). A few months on and its still fine.

So maybe the box just needs a rest. Either that or the change in the
weather has made all the difference.
