You might want to take a look at

I've had a play with the demo and it looks really nice, I believe it can be
interfaced quite easily with HS.
There are also a couple of frontends around for HS e.g. HomePanel
(http://www.gadgetland.net/)
which is free.
Also checkout the touchscreen section of the HS message board

You could also consider using the built in html interface to HS, it's not
that
pretty 'out of the box', but would be easier to use than the Windows UI and
can
be modified to your requirements if you are any good with ASP/html. There
are
plenty of samples around if you can't roll your own.
