Perhaps not so off-topic, really.

I'm looking to build a HTPC and am debating what graphics card to fit.

Specifically, I want to drive an LCD monitor via DVI and the TV via
S-Video, but I want different output on each (e.g. Windows desktop on
LCD, DVD playback on TV). This rules out the All-in-Wonder 9700, 'cos
that outputs the same signal to monitor and TV. However, the Radeon 9700
Pro will drive the two. However, the user guide seems to suggest that
the monitor refresh rate is set to 50Hz if the TV output is enabled.
Anybody know if that's true. If so, any suggestions for alternatives?

Steve
