The drawback here is that only HP printers are supported, no use for my
Canon S900. I think the answer is going to be an ITX box, which depending
on spec might work out cheaper as I add more printers (I have my eye on an
A3 printer for digital photography).

There are JetDirects that have USB ports on them...

The one that I use is model J6035A.
