I've not been on the course (yet). I'm cabling like you in preparation for
cbus, so I'm interpreting the docs. I believe it to mean that you can't
have
A connected to B connected to C connected to A.

Or put another way, I believe it to mean that there should be a unique way
for a signal to travel along the bus from any point to any other point.
(Sorry, that's the mathematician in me breaking out :-)
