I could happily live without the raffle (not that I didn't like the tshirt,
or
the socket rocket :)).  Maybe you could persuade some of the prizegivers to
donate cash instead - some of those prizes added up to a reasonable amount
of
money per supplier, and just have one prize (if any) for the raffle - it's
not
like we bought tickets on the day or anything, so we're not losing out by
not
having a raffle.
Or.....plan b) sell raffle tickets on the day, coz even the smalles prizes
must
have been about 15 quid's worth, and many were much more than that - I'd
happliy pay say a fiver for a strip of tickets , for a chance to win a
tshirt
too small for me and identical (Save for the size!) to the one I was
already
wearing :-)
