Phil,
I get:
g++: zmc.cpp: No such file or directory
g++: no input files
The zmc.txt is empty.

Can you type the following and mail me back the resultant file (zmc.txt).
g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I/usr/include -E zmc.cpp > zmc.txt
I suspect you have a problem with something not being substituted
somewhere.
