I've just gone through long and painful ZM builds on both RH9 and Mandrake
(working great now though). Which distribution do you have installed?
Sometimes the MySQL header files (MySQL-Dev or called something similar)
are
hidden away in the package install screen. As Q says - you need to install
them.



I originally installed RH9.1 but had major problems with the PC running out
of memory and locking up (a memory leak somewhere). In the end, I ditched
RH
and installed Mandrake which works well now.
