Hi,
Use Netstumbler (free app.)to check the S/N ratio.
Then stop the AP to see if it is not another one in the range.
You can try to change the default channel to one with a bigger S/N ratio.
Unfortunately, the 802.11b WLAN does not provide the same link quality not
even as an old 10BaseT network, even it is stated at 11Mbps.
The maximum I get is comparable with a 3Mbps link.
A big issue can be the mix of different producer cards/APs.
Even if they apparently works, the quality of the link can be not so good
as
expected.
