hi,
I am not an expert with this but surely the control chain just is tied to a
switch you can solder over?
Or. if the switch is persistent (remains on or off) you could use the same
automation techniques for a standard wall switch, but maybe this will turn
the light on with the fan. (if there is one).
or lastly couldn't you use a motor to tug at the chain!?

Sadly can't run to air con, & have seen some ceiling fans in the
sales (inc some for =A320 from argos).

Most of these have control chains, which isn't very HA, wondered if
anyone had had any luck with automating these?
