Sorry for the OT post, but I have a problem with providing remote access to
embedded hardware web servers ie no PC's on site. The sites have access to
PSTN only, and previously I have been using Zyxel Prestige 100MH modem
routers which have been an ideal solution. Unfortunately these have been
discontinued and are no longer available from my usual supply sources.
So, does anyone on the list know of any suppliers who may still have stock?
If not, can anyone suggest an alternative - the router is used for dial in
access only, and must run stand alone (no remote PC to host any software
solution). It seems that the manufacturers all assume we are BB'd or at
least have ISDN as I cannot find anyone offering a basic modem option
anymore, but then again they do not have to deal with some of my remote
Scottish sites I suppose!! I cannot even use my GSM modem option as the
sites don't even have GSM network coverage!
Anyway, any help/advice would be appreciated.
Neil B.
