A magnifying glass was another cleaver trick - focus the sun on one,
runs round in spiralling circles until it smokes and pops! Stinks
though.

Gosh, this reminds me of my miss spent youth. Electrocuting ants

240v AC on two bear wires wrapped around a tree, very close together,
but not touching.

Every few seconds POP bye-bye ant.

Ah those were the days, before being zapped my self and learning the
hard way the mains hurts. :-(

We'll it'll lock up about 15 of them ;-)  Draw a line of chalk around
them,
the website says they won't cross it (??!)
