RE: How deep is your love ?
Good Old TLC have a 12000 BTU one for =A3449
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/ACWA12000.html
It looks the same as the one that's =A3649 at
http://www.ehs-intl.co.uk/eshop/products/Mobile_Range_of_Air_Conditioning_U=
n
its.htm !!

(Just co-incidence that I was looking at exactly the same time for a
colleague)

I'm afraid he doesn't have a source for the portable units - he just called
in a favour from one of their suppliers which means (hopefully) I get a
fully installed Sharp split system for =A3400-500. This would cost a
couple=
of
grand normally :-)

If you want good units - I've been doing a lot of searching - Delonghi (one
of the top makes) have a self-installable wall mounted split system:

for around =A3930 all inc.

For mobile units you definitely need to go for 12000-13000 BTU (3.5 KW)
which is as high as you can get in the self contained portable ranges.
8000-9000 BTU (as I've already got) just doesn't work (in my environment).
Best prices I found were here:

The Gree KY32 (cooling only) looked the best - I was going to get one today
but that was before my dad did me a deal! If you go for the portable split
units (outside condenser), you'll get even better cooling normally.

So I assume you are organising the bulk buy for the masses then. We have
three portable units (two split and one integral) here and they were all
switched on yesterday to cope with the heat. Would like a few more split
units (14,000 BTU) if the price is right.
Ken was organising a buy a while ago but it didn't materialise for one
reason or another.
