I've just been looking around for Aircon - my father is in the trade so I'm
getting a *really* good deal ;)  I presume you are using external
condensers for the aircon units - if they are just in the loft, they will
probably cut out on hotter days as they will overheat the loft! I'm having
to run the refrigerant lines from an upstairs office, through main loft,
down through kitchen loft, across void between kitchen and garage, through
garage to a condenser mounted on the other side. This was the only place I
can mount it for aesthetic reasons.

I got a combi boiler installed and then gutted the airing cupboard, which
is
pretty much rack-sized, and has good links to the rest of the house,
including major wiring up into the loft space. Hopefully sticking an aircon
up in the loft this evening which'll vent into the cupbaord and the
landing.
