Paul

I am Portuguese and am going back for a holiday in 2 weeks.=20=20

The Algarve is where most English people go for holidays in Portugal but
it=
feels more like a colony of England then actual Portugal. If this is what =
you want then fine, Villamora and Albufeira are my recommendations, with
Vi=
llamora being the more expensive end and Albufeira being the more middle
gr=
ound. Don't expect to pay Portuguese prices (=A30.50 a pint) in the
Algarve=
as they know that no self respecting Portuguese would holiday there. You w=
ill have no problem with the language barrier in the Algarve as 60% of the
=
people ONLY speak English.

For a more "Portuguese" holiday in Portugal then I recommend
Cascais (half =
an hour out of Lisbon) or the "Costa Alentejana" (on the coast of
the "Alen=
tejo"). Cascais being the upper end and Alentejo being the middle
ground.

Let me know what type of holiday you are after and maybe I can help
further=
. Off list if you prefer...

HTH
Pedro

Looking to go there on a last minute break - anyone been there and can
reco=
mmend any particular areas to visit/stay?

There must be some kind of tortuous HA related link in there somewhere...

Paul.
