Re: SWMBO blocking, was Cool!

Hi Dave

(ugly radio on the kitchen worktops)
Don't you just love those double standards they all seem to run ;-)) In
all fairness SWMBO is quite consistent at my end and pretty much doesn't
like anything I do. There is no streaming of audio etc. so at least that
is not a sore point.

I want to use these screens to answer questions like how long is the
heating on for and what is the weather forecast but the fact it has wires
kinda gets the SWMBO seal of disapproval even before it exists.

Never mind, there's always a divorce or lobotomy ;-()

Hi Ian,

What we need is to get SWMBO to a hypnotist for some HA compliance
therapy.. :o)

So far my MP3 player is still in the kitchen, simply because she can swing
it up out of the way, but she has been using it lately since I ripped her
CD collection onto the server. Now that I have radio streaming I think she
may be using it too as the sound output is much better than her dinky
little radio (which by the way is crap looking and takes up loads of space
but gets to sit on the kitchen worktops)

My fist plan is to replace the controller for the boiler so if I get it
right and it looks good, I may be able to convince her of the need for
them elsewhere. Once she sees the benefit of music in each room and the
easy control of it all, I might get away with it. If not, I know someone
else who wants this sort of thing so I could use them as the tester for
it. :o)

Dave...
