I was looking at the Ericsson whitepapers recently about the mobile locate

service and protocols - rather worrying that any old tom, dick or harriet

I bet this wouldn't be allowed in the US???

I use the Vodafone GPRS PCMCIA card for this (and GPRS connectivity,
obviously). Vf supply a 'dashboard' that's basically a primitive in/out
bo=
x
in terms of SMS message.
On an unrelated note, www.findamobile.com is an interesting site, if a
little expensive (33p per phone search).

I've been trying to keep up with this thread. My question is:
Is their a PC application/web interface that allows you to send an SMS but
then reply to it and receive that reply on your PC/web interface? I guess
you would need to input a number somewhere?
Or is a GSM/GPRS PCMCIA card in a PCI to PCMCIA converter card in a PC the
only option? Any good software to support this solution?
Many thanks

PS: and don't forget, even Lycos have adverts on the end of each=20
text - and with most services you can't send a message from your own=20
mobile number.
