Hi Darren - haven't got your original post yet - just the replies - Yahoo
for you.

I have some digital (audio) coax switching (Nirvis DXS) in my house and I
have runs of over 50m in total length - so I don't think you will have a
problem - I originally wanted to use optical but went this way because the
cables were easy to make and the consensus was optical might not go the
distance. I understand that 'jitter' can become an issue and I did try some
jitter compensation but tbh I couldn't tell the difference although the kit
in use is probably of insufficient quality to reveal this.

To be safe - as I understand that some digital outs are more capable than
others - you could just try a length of coax and see - is the system of
particularly 'audiophile' quality ?

Kevin

I've got two Sky boxes that are fed from the same dish - prob 30-40m run on
each with no problems whatsoever :-) Using CT100 cable.

Anybody know what the maximum length of a run of digital audio coax should
be?
Assuming good quality cable.
We are looking to put a sky+ box in an attic and run the cable down to the
lounge which is probably about 20m.

Thanks
Darren
