WiFi

As you may remember I was trying to connect a local public school into our
=
system so they can access the web.

I bought a couple of Yagi antenna's and had some cable's made up but could
=
not get the distance required of 2 KM. I could connect locally to the
syste=
m but not from the distance we required. I am not bothered about this too
m=
uch as I still do not think we have good enough line of sight, but at this
=
moment this is not an issue......

Unbeknown to me, my manager contacted a Northampton Ariel specialists who
c=
ame to our site and took away 1x antenna, 1x 2.5m LM??? cable and 1 x
pigta=
il for measuring.

The guy has now got back to us and said there is a 10DB loss on the
pig-tai=
l alone. The company we bought them from find this hard to believe and as
f=
or me I have not got a clue. They are now making us a cable for over
=A3100=
each!.......

Do anyone of you have any thoughts on this?

TIA,

B.
