Hiya,
just a quickie - if you have (I would hope!) battery backup for your
servers - and IF its an APC unit - they do a little addon called a 'Measure
UPS(?)' that has NO / NC contacts as well as an external temp sensor. This
can then be tied into thier PowerChute software -which in turn can generate
alerts etc...
