RE: [OTish] Sound Card - Optical Out

That is an SPDIF connector... it is a 1/8" (is that 3.5mm? Standard
mini-headphone jack size...) mono connector, with the SPDIF+ on the Tip and
the SPDIF- on the ring...

BUT, since it is a SB-Live, it resamples everything to 44.1, even 44.1
signals. So it is not a true digital out, but rather a resampled digital
out.

OK if you are just looking to get digital signal out of your PC. Not OK if
you are using the Digital Out to make exact digital copies (in live music
trading circles...)

Subject: [ukha_d] [OTish] Sound Card - Optical Out

I have an old SoundBlaster Live card which has a "digital out"
connector
which looks like a mini-headphone jack?

I need an optical or coaxial SPDIF connector to hook up to an AV amp.

Any ideas?

Thanks

M.
