Re: IBM drives, was Re: 180gb Drive Format ?



As a matter of interest, has anyone still had problems with the newer
IBM/Hitachi Deskstar drives?

I bought one a couple of months ago and I am well pleased with its
performance etc. It certainly improved the speed of my 1.2 Athlon machine
in
that programmes now load in a fraction of the time they used to take.

I did read about lots of failures but they where all referring to the IBM
drives, no mention of Hitachi in there?
