RE: My introductory message

Hi

Simon

I was reading your web site and noticed you are using NTL broadband &
DNS2GO

I know very little about servers but would like to swap the occasional
file with my mate who lives directly opposite me ?

I have connected a router to NTL so I can connect a couple of PC's to
the net so they get issued their own IP addresses when connected by the
router I could make these static.

When I type in the router IP address it asks me for a login and password
which when I enter them it just shows me the router settings remotely,
how do I then access the machines connected to the router.

I have XP pro installed and notice this comes with additional server
software ?

Could you in a couple of lines guide me ?

I am a ex Honeywell controls employee, I have fitted Comfort, and have
some distributed IR around the house Wired & Wireless ?

so if I can help you with anything let me know

Jason
