Indeed, I will try and get both, do a dry run, not on one of my windows :)

Yup, thats what I have planned to do, as I don't want contacts or cable
showing. I am rewiring before the windows go in, so I will channel out and
put some trunking in.

Yup, the sensor on the fixed frame and magnet on moving frame sounds the
best option. makes perfect sense, thanks for the input!
