Morning all
I had one of those evenings last night..
I had emptied out Node 0 to finish laying flooring in there (walk in
cupboard)
So before putting my HA pc back, I thought I would do a couple of
"quick"
upgrades...
I decided to add an extra memory stick to it, and when I rebooted I got
lots
of continious beeps on start up.
Opening up the box, I found out I had installed it round the wrong way
(don't ask me how!)
So I removed it and tried to restart... still continious beeps on
startup...
although it does then do the POST checks for disc drives). but does not
output anything to the screen.
(I have tried the memory in another machine, and it works fine).
Does anyone have any idea of which bit I have fried... Motherboard or
Processor (Or is it both).
As I need to order replacements asap, and would rather not replace
both!
Regards
Daniel
